The Dragons responded to last Friday’s disappointing loss at Farmington with an impressive 67-49 victory over Pontiac at the Fieldhouse on Thursday night. Lake Orion trailed by as many as 6 points early on but exploded for 25 points in the second quarter and never looked back. The Dragons were 9 for 20 from downtown, in one of their best shooting efforts of the season. The green and white were led by sophomore guard, Jack Cummins, who scored a career high 21 points, while dishing out 6 assists and nabbing 4 steals. Junior forward Kyle Loken added 16 points, also a career high. Senior guard Jamie Lewis chipped in with 14 points, distributing the ball beautifully as he found open teammates throughout the contest. Junior guard Jake Rydquist added 8 points and played a fine defensive game. With the win, the Dragons improve their overall record to 11-3, 7-2 in the OAA Blue division. Lake Orion will welcome the 1st place Falcons of Rochester on Tuesday, February 13th at 7:00 pm.
