The freshman boys basketball team remained unbeaten in OAA Red Division play with a 32-23 win over North Farmington Friday night.
Both teams struggled offensively but the Dragons jumped in front after the first quarter 13-5. North Farmington found its rhythm in the second quarter and cut the Lake Orion lead to 20-16 at the half. Neither team found the basket much in the 3rd quarter but the Dragons took a 27-18 lead into the final quarter and finished with the 9-point win.
Alden Ritt led the Dragons with 10 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists.
CJ Witt added 6 points with 9 rebounds.
Jeff Perkowski had 4 points, 2 rebounds and 1 steal.
Malachi Grandberry, CJ Farstvedt and Nasir Lardell all scored 3 points. Malachi added 2 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. CJ and Nasir each had 1 rebound.
With the victory the boys freshman basketball team improves to 9-1 on the season and is 5-0 in OAA Red Division play. The Dragons travel to Oxford to take on the Wildcats on Tuesday.
