The Dragons competed in the OAA Red cross country championships on October 22 at Bloomer Park in Rochester and represented Lake Orion very well, with the boys’ team taking first place and the girls’ squad capturing second.  Due to past jamboree results the boys finished second in the league overall for the season.  At the

Lake Orion’s girls’ varsity golf team competed in the D1 state finals for the third year in a row on October 16-17 at The Meadows golf course at Grand Valley State University. The weather was wintry, but the Lady Dragons were in second place after the first day of competition, three strokes off the lead.

Clarkston beats Lake Orion in football rivalry

Lake Orion’s varsity football team fell to the Clarkston Wolves, 35-14, in the two teams’ annual rivalry game on October 16.  This was Clarkston’s fifth straight victory over Lake Orion on the football field.  The loss officially knocks the Dragons out of state playoff contention with a 3-5 (3-4 OAA Red) record.  Juniors Chris Wilson
